The base search settings of the SOBI2 fields as set up in the Fields Manager are considered. Additional module settings are available in the module settings area. The module can be shown in vertical or horizontal orientation. The visibilty of the module within SOBI2 can be controlled also as the shown fields for the search. The module won't be displayed in the SOBI2 search. An additional search button can be added at the bottom of the module, the search button at the top can be switched off. The widths of select lists and input boxes can be adjusted to fit the needs of your template. The search input box and the search phrase options can also be switched off, to change the module to a category chooser or field chooser module. The category selection can be turned off. The category selection can be automatically preselected with the actual browsing category. If the Radius Distance Search Plugin is installed, the search parameters of the plugin are also shown in the module. If no matching Entries are found, no module content is displayed. The standard SOBI2 fields 'Title', 'Icon' and 'Image' can be displayed together with an unlimited number of user-specified Custom Field data values and an optional link to the Entry 'Detailed' View. Module Features * This Module does not create or modify any SOBI2 or Joomla Database tables. * This Module makes a minimum of 2, maximum of 5, database queries every time the module is output. * The value of a user-specified SOBI2 Custom Field is used to select which SOBI2 entries are eligible for display by this Module. * The maximum number of 'Featured' entries to be displayed is specified in the Module configuration. * User-specified Sort Order of' Featured Entries' display - Random, Date Created, Title or User-specified Custom Field. * Optional display of the standard SOBI2 fields 'Title', 'Icon' and 'Image'. * Optional display of an unlimited number of user-specified SOBI2 Custom Data fields. The order in which the Custom Data fields are output is specified in the Module configuration. * Optional display of Custom Data Field Labels. * Optional linking of Title, and/or Icon, and/or Image to the detailed view of each SOBI2 'featured' entry. * Optional display of a link, with user-specified 'link text', to the detailed view of each SOBI2 'featured' entry. * Optional 'Category Filter' - 'Featured Entries' displayed can be restricted to those 'Featured Entries' that 'belong' to the category being displayed in the current SOBI2 'Category View'. * Module output is 'tableless', (data to be displayed is output in <div>'s). * Use user-specified styling in site Template(s) to style module output. * The Module can be copied to enable SOBI2 entries with different user-specified SOBI2 entry selection criteria to be displayed in different Module positions. * A user-specified Module Class suffix allows user-specified CSS styling in the Site Template(s) for each instance of the Module. * The Module can be 'cloned' to work with SOBI2 clones. With this Joomla! module the SOBI2 RSS feeds can be shown on the site like a normal module. Using the standard Joomla! module for RSS, all links will be opened in a new window. With mod_fetchrss all links can be opened in the same window. Additionally we implemented a title shortener. You can see this module working on Joomla! Specialists (http://www.joomla-specialists.eu). This Joomla!/Mambo module shows a Google Map with markers of the SOBI2 entries of a category. A Google map with markers of SOBI2 entries will be shown on each SOBI2 page. In the category views the shown entry markers are dependent on the entries in the categories - on all other SOBI2 pages all entries are shown. Only the entries within a category are shown. The map will not be shown in empty categories or in categories with entries without geographical coordinates. The visibility can be adjusted individually. A template for the Bubble can be generated to show different information in the bubble like the address or the image of the entry. An individual marker image can be used for the general map or category dependent. Also the map can be adjusted with various settings, e.g. the size of the map, the map control buttons or the zoom level and the map type. For each category, different zoom and center point coordinates can be entered.
